Update: Mellow Yellows

Yellow makes me happy and this room is all about happy thoughts. Happy, healthy thoughts! My momma? She’s gonna fly with all the happy thoughts that fill this room. Word is bond, Peter Pan. [slogan]chin up buttercup print from the love shop; abstract art from yangyang pan[/slogan]

Solution: Bug Out Bags

I think this is the first time an area of the house feels finished. It’s a tiny wall in a makeshift um, hallway? Alcove? I’m not even sure what it is. But its on the way out, which is key. These bags always ended up on the nearest empty space on the floor of whatever…

Editorials: In Love with the City

But I still manage to get pretty excited about Fall. Spring is too wet, Summer is too hot, and Winter is too cold (well, for me anyway). Fall is the Goldilocks of seasons for me, just right. This editorial for the September issue of Vogue Japan is hitting all the right notes for me. Styled…

Dressing Up As: Wedding Guest

Yong and I are attending a wedding this weekend (he’s is actually a groomsman!). We’ve known about the date of the wedding for well over a year. I didn’t slack a minute in looking for something to wear to the grand event, but for some reason or another it took me almost the entire year…

So when I started taking Photoshop/Illustrator classes in college I was a little ahead of the curve. I was naturally inclined to help anyone…

It’s all about progression.

I also wanted something a little more representative of the actual style of our home. I don’t know very many people (personally) who have as many black walls in their home as we do, so I wanted black to be a more prominent color on the site. White and gray are our foundation, prominent sparks…

Chocolates and Yellows and Golds, oh my!

I love how the paint turned out on the armoire. Its shades lighter than the gray on the wall, so it goes but doesn’t blend in. The hardware, however, has worn out its welcome. I tried to live with it, but its overall just too dark for me. I think the scale is off too,…
